The album booklet of Broken Social Scene follows this theme, leaving vague notes under every song like Accept the insanity and Forgive your heart (don’t spend too much time on that). this is for the ones who leave their homes looking for hope. Intricacies will pass you by unless you are willing to pay close attention, as stand alone keyboard driven melodies ‘Feel Good Lost’ possesses nice touches but as a collection becomes monotonous. The last record Feel Good Lost was constructed for lovers in bathrooms. The beauty and peacefulness of ‘Feel Good Lost’ is reminiscent of Broadcast or Land of Nod but by the time the inclusion of the grating violins of ‘Mossbraker’ arrive it all feels very repetitive. It was written and recorded primarily by founding members Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. Any lack of lyrical content is countered with a delicate array of hypnotic components the soothing violin of the intriguingly titled opener ‘I Slept With Bonhomme at the CBC’ and the oceanic feel of the glugging drum beat on the subdued ‘Blues for Uncle Gibb’. (7.5/10) 2 Feel Good Lost is the debut studio album by Broken Social Scene. What’s more, the unintelligibly chaotic voiced layers of ‘Stomach Song’ leave you perplexed. Remastered for the 15th anniversary & housed in. Not until ‘Passport Radio’ do we hear the first space age galactic vocals pierce the instrumental driven proceedings. Broken Social Scene - Feel Good Lost (Vinyl) Feel Good Lost is the debut album by Broken Social Scene.

You are right about having to be in the mood, sometimes Blues For Uncle Gibb sounds great to me, sometimes it's just stupid. I can't listen to that much of it because some is just too bizzaro, like Stomach Song or Mossbraker.

Lyrics, who needs them? Words only get in the way of what the glockenspiel player is doing, surely? The UK release of Broken Social Scene’s low key debut album is in stark contrast to the acclaimed follow up ‘You Forgot It In People’s assorted content and variable members (15 in total). Good review, and a good overall view of it.
